This suite of bitesize digital skills e-learning modules has been developed for all staff working in adult social care. Each module looks at one of 7 areas of digital knowledge and skills under the Digital Skills Framework(opens in a new tab). Whilst each module can be completed separately, they complement each other, and completing the full suite of modules will ensure well-rounded learning of digital skills that can support your knowledge and use of technology in the delivery of care. Practice Supervisor Training for Registered Managers  This course is designed to prepare CQC-registered managers to confidently take on the role of Practice Supervisor for nursing students. Through four short modules, you’ll explore the context of student supervision in social care, understand the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) standards, and build the skills needed to create safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environments. You’ll gain clear guidance on your responsibilities, learn techniques for welcoming and orientating students, setting goals, giving feedback, and managing challenges. Case studies, videos, and downloadable tools bring the learning to life and help you apply it directly to your workplace. By completing this programme, you will be suitably prepared to act as a Practice Supervisor in line with the NMC Standards for Student Supervision and Assessment (2018) — playing a vital role in shaping the nurses, and nursing associates of tomorrow and showcasing the value of the social care sector. Creating an Inclusive Organisation Building confidence to improve equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) across your organisation, our ‘Creating an inclusive organisation’ eLearning modules are for anyone working in social care who’d like to learn more about EDI. People from ethnic minority backgrounds often face barriers to career progression and the modules explore what these are. The modules are primarily aimed at those from ethnic minority backgrounds as they’ve been designed to support learners to deal with specific challenges they may face in the sector, and to help build confidence to improve equality, diversity and inclusion within their organisation. However, the modules may be of interest to anyone, at any level, who is interested in EDI and how to improve this within their organisation. 100% of the cost of these modules can be reimbursed via the Adult Social Care Learning and Development Support Scheme (LDSS). This eLearning module introduces you to the Care Quality Commission’s (CQC) Single Assessment Framework and what you will need to be prepared for in order to meet expectations. We’ll take a look at how regulated adult social care services are assessed, what inspectors will focus upon, how to involve others in preparing your service, and what evidence will be needed. You will have the opportunity to regularly test your knowledge, reflect on key points and consider practical ways to embed this learning into your own service. The eLearning presents information to read, watch, listen and download to support your own learning.  All filmed examples include professional actors but are based on interviews and insight from regulated adult social care providers. 100% of the cost of these modules can be reimbursed via the Adult Social Care Learning and Development Support Scheme (LDSS). It is primarily aimed at adult social care providers currently rated Requires improvement or Inadequate but may also be useful for services whose own quality assurance processes have identified significant areas for improvement. With guidance and advice shaped around the CQC’s Single Assessment Framework approach, the module looks at the practical steps you can take to successfully address failings and be better prepared to achieve Good or Outstanding in your next assessment.
